Martin Pring: Source-Scoped Study Note
Study-guide practice rather than passive reading. An editorial study assignment with explicit source limits, not a hidden rulebook.
What the source can support
The author's shop describes a Study Guide for Technical Analysis Explained with question formats and answers. The source is a book-study product, not attended instruction.
Original exercise for this learning question
Attempt a chosen study question before inspecting its answer. Retain the mistake, source chapter and correction, then make a fresh non-identical example. State whether you now understand the concept or only remember the original answer.
Work without a live account. Record the original reference, the observation boundary and the first answer before examining a later result. When a definition is unclear, mark the uncertainty; do not supply a favourable fact from hindsight or attribute your own invented parameter to the author.
The distinction to explain
Question availability and supplied answers do not establish individual tutor review or measured account improvement.
Artifact and transfer review
Baseline answer, chapter reference, correction and transfer task.
Retain the baseline and correction as separate artifacts. For a fresh task, explain what was supplied, what you assumed and what remains unobserved. This review concerns your understanding of an evidence boundary, not the original trader's current performance or a reproduction of a private system.
Source Identity
Original operator, author or publisher reference
The scope above identifies whether the reference is an authored resource, provider interpretation, institutional description or catalogue identity. It does not imply paid access, a new account audit or a complete modern method.

Learning Concepts and Fresh Cases
A study guide can turn a chapter into active work when the learner attempts the question before opening the answer. A correct copied answer and an independently reasoned answer are different artifacts. That distinction matters more than the number of pages consumed.
Choose an actual question from the selected original source and keep the initial response. Write why the correction is needed, then create a fresh fictional case that asks the same conceptual question using different observations. State which aspect transferred and which remained uncertain.
Retain cycle, intermarket, trendline, volume and breadth vocabulary as topics to connect to actual readings. A book-study product does not establish individual tutor marking. The exit artifact should retain question identity, first error, correction and fresh explanation, without claiming that completing the study guide causes trading profitability.
Retained Vocabulary Reading Trail
Business cycle stages, KST indicator, intermarket analysis (bonds→stocks→commodities), trendline analysis, volume analysis, breadth indicators.
This vocabulary preserves the earlier topic coverage. It is a list of research leads, not a verified private rulebook. Any numerical setting or author-specific parameter needs its original definition and scope before being used or attributed.
