Richard Wyckoff: Source-Scoped Study Note
Provider schematics versus observed market facts. An editorial study assignment with explicit source limits, not a hidden rulebook.
What the source can support
Wyckoff Analytics publishes its interpretation of the method and its schematics. This is a modern operator's educational account, not a new verification of an original historical trade.
Original exercise for this learning question
Choose one stated concept and separate observed price/volume relationships from inferred participant behaviour. Annotate a fictional range before revealing its continuation. Include an alternative explanation and the evidence that would challenge the preferred label.
Work without a live account. Record the original reference, the observation boundary and the first answer before examining a later result. When a definition is unclear, mark the uncertainty; do not supply a favourable fact from hindsight or attribute your own invented parameter to the author.
The distinction to explain
A schematic can organise interpretation without proving hidden institutional intent or guaranteeing the next price move.
Artifact and transfer review
Source concept, observation/inference table and explicit alternative.
Retain the baseline and correction as separate artifacts. For a fresh task, explain what was supplied, what you assumed and what remains unobserved. This review concerns your understanding of an evidence boundary, not the original trader's current performance or a reproduction of a private system.
Source Identity
Original operator, author or publisher reference
The scope above identifies whether the reference is an authored resource, provider interpretation, institutional description or catalogue identity. It does not imply paid access, a new account audit or a complete modern method.

Learning Concepts and Fresh Cases
A schematic describes a framework for interpreting observations. It does not directly observe every institution's position or intention. Price and volume relationships, the label attached to them and an inferred accumulation story are separate statements.
On an invented range, record observations before revealing the continuation. Write an accumulation interpretation and an alternative interpretation that fits the same information. State which new evidence would favour or challenge each, rather than naming the range only after a breakout.
Retain spring, upthrust, strength, support and effort-versus-result questions. The linked modern operator supplies its interpretation, not a new independent verification of original historical trades. The project should include definition source, observation/inference table and a lookalike, without claiming that a schematic guarantees a future direction.
Retained Vocabulary Reading Trail
Accumulation/Distribution schematics, Spring, Upthrust, Sign of Strength (SOS), Last Point of Support (LPS), Composite Man, effort vs result, supply/demand laws.
This vocabulary preserves the earlier topic coverage. It is a list of research leads, not a verified private rulebook. Any numerical setting or author-specific parameter needs its original definition and scope before being used or attributed.
